Below is a poetic inscription to commemorate those who have anonymously passed through the San Carlo Cemetery in Cuggiono, Italy. This inscription appears on an otherwise unkept grave, and is marked as having been placed there by the Museo Storico. The translation follows:

Oh Abandoned Tomb,
Once planted and lush
Having borne green and dense
Your numerous branches.

Don't anguish the silent abandon,
If the hand that once brought your flowers
One day more will not turn.

Perhaps the most generous heart
From which is attained eternal light
Will soothe your solitary grieving
Forever to rest - In the setting Sun.
