The Museo Storico Civico in Cuggiono has published a book entitled "History Speaking Through the Ages." This book is a reflection of the spirit of the Museum, and it touches on the history of Cuggiono and it's citizens as well as the emmigrants who left Cuggiono for other countries. The book is 96 pages, well bound, with an attractive cover that is inviting. The book beckons one to explore its contents. The pages are printed on heavy glossy stock, which with the stout cover, ensure that the book will endure for several generations. It is available in both English and Italian translations. This book does not include genealogical material, rather a history of Cuggiono as reflected in the various collections of the Museum.

The contents of the book are listed below:
  • The book has a section dedicated to each of the rooms in the Museum, as well as coverage of other topics related to Cuggiono.
  • History of Cuggiono from the early 1800s, with pictures.
  • Information about the dialect spoken in Cuggiono, and certain words that you would only have heard in Cuggiono.
  • A section, with pictures, dedicated to the magnifcent Villa Annoni and the Annoni family.
  • The book accurately reflects the displays of the trades that were practiced in Cuggiono. Many of the trade pictures date back to the early 1900s.
  • There is a section on the emigrants, a brief history of the area at the time of the emigration, their reasons for leaving, and mention of some of the cities where they settled in the US and other countries.
  • In the back in the book there is a photo of the "Cucchi Brothers" which dates to the late 1800s.

Per Italian Law, the Museum - as a non-profit organization - is not permitted to sell the book. Therefore, the price of the book is a $35.00 donation to the Museum.
