Cuggionesi:

     (n) The people native to or the residents of the village of Cuggiono, Italy.
The village of Cuggiono, Italy is located in the northern Lombardia Region of Italy, to the southwest of Milan. This small village of approximately 6500 residents has made impact on several areas of the world, due largely to a wave of emigration that took place during the late 1800's and early 1900's. Droves of hungry Italian peasants and share-croppers left their beloved home and settled in the United States (Detroit, Michigan; St. Louis, Missouri; Herrin, Illinois; and other locations) and South America. This website is dedicated to the memory of all Cuggionesi, past - present - and future.
